Refunds:

  • Application filing fees will only be refunded if the applicant withdraws the application prior to Lake Services beginning review of the application (i.e., after initial screening is complete) or if the application is denied by Lake Services.
  • Security deposits will be refunded provided no violations of the Shoreline Management Guidelines occur.
  • All refunds for applications made through this web portal will arrive via check 10-12 business days after refund request is approved.
  • No refunds will be made via credit card or PayPal processing.

User Fees:
User fees (not the same as application fees) are billed annually. Lake Use permits may be canceled if user fees are not paid.

Habitat Enhancement Fee:
For requests on Catawba-Wateree and Keowee-Toxaway reservoirs, a separate Habitat Enhancement Program (HEP) fee may also be required.

Duke Energy may revise its fee schedule without notice.
